Our Mission is to prevent sexual violence and encourage healthy relationships in the nightlife industry through training, advocacy, community organizing and referrals to supportive services.

OutSmart NYC is a collective of industry staff, patrons, educators, and activists organizing to prevent and end sexual violence in bars, restaurants, and nightclubs. Because this is a joint effort between service providers and members of the nightlife community we’re able to draw upon the collective knowledge and experience of the various sub-communities that are committed to helping end sexual violence in the nightlife industry.

We believe in creating inclusive and sex-positive spaces; connecting those affected by violence in the nightlife industry to free, confidential and supportive crisis & medical services, legal advocacy and counseling.
